Examination and Treatment

Your first appointment with a chiropractor will start with a discussion about your problem or condition. They will ask about your medical history, diet and lifestyle, before carrying out a thorough physical examination. This will assess how your bones, muscles, joints and nerves are working. This will last between 45 minutes and one hour. Corrective Chiropractic will combine information gained from your questionnaire, previous history, examination, x-rays (if required) and then meet you again to discuss his findings, and create a treatment plan for you.

A typical Chiropractic treatment

Once you fully understand the report of findings and have given your consent, your chiropractor will make the necessary adjustments to your spine. Some adjustments may make a popping sound, due to gas bubbles released when a stiff joint is freed up, but treatment is usually not painful and often brings considerable immediate relief.
